This week, I deepened my study on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Power Electronics, a crucial field for the global energy transition. AI is being innovatively applied to optimize the conversion and control of electrical energy, especially in networks that integrate renewable sources, such as solar and wind.

This is done through algorithms that monitor and adjust energy consumption in real time, predicting possible failures and maximizing the efficiency of the systems. A notable advancement is the use of smart microgrids, which connect various energy sources and use AI to manage distribution autonomously and optimally. Additionally, energy storage systems, such as smart batteries, are managed by AI, ensuring more efficient use of energy generated from renewable sources. This technological integration is helping to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and resilient energy future, where Power Electronics plays a central role in the stability and flexibility of modern electrical networks.
